![]() ![]() I really would like to be able to use FreeCAD as it has Python scripting. Then when I try to convert to a solid I get the error "not a shell". Import into FreeCAD, convert mesh to shape and it displays ok. I then entered some text into Google Sketchup, extruded it and exported as STL. ![]() Also the draft workbench doesn't seem to display a grid. Next I tried entering text into the draft workbench - doesn't display anything. ![]() Importing a simple pentagon DXF created in CorelDRAW results in bsplines in FreeCAD - no straight lines. Apparently I need wires not lines but I can't find details of how to do the conversion. I can't seem to convert the lines into a "2d shape" for padding. I tried the newer build from Petar and I was able to downgrade the DXF into lines. ![]()
